Greenhill Primary

Greenhill Primary school badge Greenhill primary is a non-denominational, co-educational primary school situated in Coatbridge. The school caters for primary one to primary seven pupils. The school offers many extra curricular activities, which include netball training two days a week after school, the team play in a netball league with other local schools.

The football team trains every Tuesday evening and they also play local league home and away matches with other schools. Ten sessions of swimming is also organised for primary seven pupils at the local swimming baths. Primary seven pupils also get the opportunity to have a weeks residential outward bound course at Kilbowie Outdoor Centre near Oban. At Christmas, it is anticipated that the whole school will go to a pantomime. Greenhill Primary school badge

The school maintains strong links with the local community and an "after-school club" run by North Lanarkshire Council operates every day at Corsewall Street community centre. Children are collected at Greenhill primary by the after-school club staff. We also take part in local cultural and sporting events, eg football and netball tournaments, inter-schools sports days, Monklands drama festival and Airdrie Burns competition.

Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 years so that they have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Greenhill normally transfer to Coatbridge High.
