Clarkston Primary

Clarkston Primary school badge Clarkston primary was built in 1931 and is a non-denominational, co-educational school situated on Forrest Street, Airdrie. The building is on two levels, one of which accommodates primaries one and two, and the other primaries three to seven. We also have one class accommodated in an annexe to the main school building.

The school has a staff of 34, which includes teachers, classroom assistants, special needs assistants, clerical staff, kitchen staff, cleaners and janitor. The school has an excellent reputation in the community and has strong links with the associated secondary school and the many pre-five establishments from which our children come. Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Clarkston primary normally transfer to Airdrie Academy, or Caldervale High School.
