Berryhill Primary and Nursery

Berryhill Primary school badge

Berryhill primary is a co-educational, non-denominational primary school teaching children from nursery age to primary seven.  A good relationship exists between the school and the local community and each gives support to the other when the need arises.

At Berryhill we have a home/school link initiative with a full time worker and a part time clerkess. They are based in our parents room and are involved in encouraging parents to become involved in the school. They provide various activities for parents and children eg keep fit, anti-vandalism, art, first aid, paired reading, psychology, sociology, parenting skills, health and computing.

The school provides many extra curricular activities including netball clubs, homework clubs and both boys and girls football teams. Many local groups and youth organisations also maintain close association with the school.

Pupils normally transfer from to primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5, so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils normally transfer from Berryhill to Clyde Valley High.
