The school is a non-denominational primary, providing education for children from P1 to P7. The nursery class caters for three and four year old children. The two-story school building dates from 1911 and is located in the Orbiston area of Bellshill. |

We at Belvidere primary have established strong home/school links. Parents meetings are held in the school on set evenings and afternoons in November and June, when all parents are given the opportunity to discuss their child's teacher what is going on in the classroom. |

Displays by pupils take place before Christmas, Easter and summer. All parents, friends are invited to these. There are various sporting activities and clubs are undertaken as part of extra curricular activities eg football, computing and sports club.
Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Belvidere primary normally transfer to Bellshill Academy.
