The Richard Stewart nursery centre is located within Chapelside centre and aims to offer high quality childcare and education for children from birth to five years.
The nursery can offer a childcare and education service from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday each week and is open for 52 weeks of the year. |

All places are allocated in accordance with North Lanarkshire Council's admissions policy and priority basis. Under three's require to be supported by an agency or department working with the family notably health and social work services.
The nursery centre is managed by a head of centre supported by a depute head, a senior early years worker and a staff team of early years workers all of whom are fully qualified.
We are a health promoting establishment and have gained the bronze award in recognition of this. We also have achieved three green 'Eco Schools' flags for our ongoing work in eco projects.
Our accommodation is spacious and bright and has an extensive outdoor play area which enables our children to participate in a wide range of learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.
The nursery works in partnership with parents/carers, various support agencies and local primary and secondary schools within the local community. The centre also offers a wide range of courses and groups form the community learning and development wing of the building. We have close links with the local primary schools and throughout the year, pre-school children visit their chosen primary school and meet their teacher, in order to assist with the transition from nursery to primary education.
