Forgewood Nursery Centre

Forgewood nursery centre is located in the Forgewood area of Motherwell. The provision in the main building for 0-5 years has been extended by an annexe based in Braidhurst High School for 3-5 year olds. One hundred and seventy children attend the centre, most on a part time basis.

The nursery centre was inspected by HMI in 1999 when inspectors commented particularly in the staff's great relationship with parents and the care and concern shown to the children attending the centre. Forgewood nursery centre has 64 3 to 5 year olds, 15 2 to 3 year olds and six 0 to 2 year olds.  The nursery is staffed by a head teacher, depute head of centre, nursery teacher and 13 nursery officers, three clerical staff and two cleaner/janitors.
