Cedar Road Nursery School

Cedar Road is a nursery school in North Lanarkshire.  We opened for the first time in 1976.  We are based in Abronhill, with playparks and wooded areas nearby which the children can enjoy. We have a total of 15 staff and have a capacity for 80 morning children and 80 afternoon children.

We are unique in that the nursery is made up of nine individual patio style units.  Four of these units house the nursery children.  There are 20 children in each unit with two members of staff.  One of our units have a hearing impaired remit.  The other five units are made up of an office, gym, storage, playgroup and mother and toddler group.

We aim to:

• Create a safe, happy and caring environment, encourage to relate and interact with adults and other children, build self confidence, allow each child to develop to his/her full potential, provide a balance of learning experiences and above all make learning fun.
