Calling all Writers – Smart Feet Competition
Could you convince your classmates to do more walking?
We want some Smart Writers to come up with some Smart Words that will get Smart Feet moving.
If you could think of a smarter way to say that walking is:
Good for your Health, Good for the Environment and Good Fun, then we'd like to hear from you.
We don't need a drawing, just a short slogan that we can use on Smart Feet stickers and leaflets to promote the 2008 National Walk to School week in May.
There's a £50 book token for the winner and £25 tokens for each of the four runners up. If you're in Primary 4, 5, 6, or 7 and have a way with words then get writing!
Three things to remember when you're writing your slogan.
- Keep it short and simple. Don't use difficult words and don't use too many words.
- Think about the people who you want to read your message. Make sure that you attract their attention and that they remember your message.
- Think about advertisements that you like. You shouldn't copy them but they may give you ideas.
Post your slogan to:

We need your slogans by Friday 7th March 2008
This could be the start of your writing career.
