Local Authority Road Safety Officer's Association (LARSOA)
LARSOA is a national road safety organisation that represents the Road Safety Officers (RSOs) of County Councils, Metropolitan Borough Councils, and Unitary Authorities across the UK.
Scottish Executive
The creation of a Scottish Parliament introduced a new era in the Government of Scotland. The overall aim of the Parliament is to work with Scottish Ministers to improve the well being of Scotland and its people. It is responsible for most of the day-to-day issues that concern the people of Scotland including Transport and Road Safety. Included in this remit are strategy, guidance, research and support on a wide range of Transport Issues and Roads in particular.
Strathclyde Police
Strathclyde Police is the third largest police force in the UK, and the stated aim of the force is to deliver the highest possible standards of policing, addressing community needs, expectations and concerns in a professional, caring and sensitive manner. As part of the basic function of a police force to preserve life and property Strathclyde Police makes a vital contribution to road safety by enforcing the law, crash investigation and providing information and supporting publicity campaigns.
West of Scotland Road Safety Forum
The West of Scotland Road Safety Forum has produced this website in order to make people aware of the projects and initiatives, both through education and publicity, in which the Forum is involved. Road safety officers and traffic engineers across the twelve local authorities, work in partnership with Strathclyde Police, to improve road safety standards in the West of Scotland.
