 The Highway Code

The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone. Its rules apply to all road users: drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians as well as horse riders.

Transport Research Institute (TRi)

The Transport Research Institute (TRi) is a distributed organisation, promoting cross-disciplinarily research in transport across all departments and faculties at Napier University Edinburgh.

Transport Research Laboratory (TRL)

We are an independent world recognised organisation providing research, consultancy, advice and testing for all aspects of transport. Here you can find information on our various activities, discover some of the projects we're involved in, and search for and access the details of hundreds of research reports published by TRL over the years.

Vehicle Safety Research Centre (VSRC)

The VSRC is part of the newly formed Ergonomics and Safety Research Institute within Loughborough University. The Institute brings together a broad range of expertise in the area of safety engineering and human factors.

The Neighbourhood Road Safety Initiative (NRSI) has been set up to find fresh and innovative ways to reduce road casualties, particularly those involving children.

Research has found that children from disadvantaged backgrounds are five times more likely to be killed or seriously injured on our roads than their peers from the least deprived areas.
