Background

Over the last year the Education resource service (ERS), has been implementing a variety of developments based on comments made through the annual user satisfaction survey, and in collection evaluation forms and suggestions made in the Charter Mark feedback report. Through this ongoing development the ERS continues to improve its efficiency and accountability. In addition, the ERS has supported the delivery of corporate priorities and the department's local improvement objectives while responding to feedback from users and stakeholders. The ERS takes the following as its mission statement and aims:

We seek to:

  • ensure equity of access to a diverse range of resources, learning activities, information and ideas
  • promote and participate in systematic development of skills for life-long learning
  • harness technology to facilitate effective research and investigation
