Background
Over the past year the Education Resource Service (ERS), has implemented a variety of developments and improvements based on comments made by customers through our annual user satisfaction survey and those gathered from collection evaluation forms. Suggestions made in the Charter Mark feedback report have also been acted upon as has advice gathered from the ERS Focus Group. Through this ongoing development the ERS continues to improve its efficiency and accountability. In addition, the ERS has supported the delivery of corporate priorities and the department's local improvement objectives while responding to feedback from users and stakeholders.
The ERS takes the following as its mission statement and aims:
"We are actively committed to the provision and enhancement of a quality service, which is responsive to changing needs and user requirements and supports and enriches education."
We seek to:
-
ensure equity of access to a diverse range of resources, learning opportunities, information and ideas.
-
promote and participate in systematic development of skills for life-long learning.
-
utilise technology to facilitate effective research and investigation.
-
foster genuine partnership to maximise the sharing of information and expertise.
-
respond meaningfully to users by seeking their views on what we offer.
