Parent zone

Parent zone is the Scottish Executive's national website for parents.  It includes information about school education, links to useful organisations, recent publications and up-to-date news.

Scottish school boards association

The Scottish school boards association (ssba) website features news and information of interest to all school boards and to those considering joining a board.

Scottish parent teacher council

The Scottish parent teacher (sptc) website features a range of news and information of interest to parent associations, parent teacher associations and individual parents. It also provides advice and help on setting up a parent or parent teacher association in your school.

Website safety advice for parents

To help raise awareness of personal safety issues, the Scottish Executive launched a campaign in December 2004 to urge parents and carers to ensure that their children are using the internet safely.  A website was set up to offer parental advice on the safer use of the internet.
