Phacts Airdrie Young Person's Health Project

Phacts (Airdrie Young Person's Health Project) targets young people aged 14 - 25 years living in Airdrie and is funded through Social Inclusion Partnership.

The aim of the project is to directly improve health conditions and reduce levels of ill health in North Airdrie and Whinhall areas.   The project empowers young people by providing them with access to information and educational programmes enabling them to make informed choices about their lifestyle including diet, exercise, drugs etc.   It provides a partnership approach (involving Health Services, Community Education Service and young people) to health issues affecting young people.

The project assists in the development of teenage health clinics, provides peer learning programmes, counselling, information services and training courses on a wide range of health issues.
