The Council propose a replacement of St Patrick's Primary School with a design capacity for 330 pupils. In addition to primary education, accommodation will include an 84 place Early Education centre which will replace the existing St Patrick's Nursery School.
The physical education facilities within the new building and the on-site 7-a-side synthetic surface pitch will be available for community use. In addition, the assembly hall/gym, dining/general purpose and other community areas will be accessible to the community.
The proposed site for the new primary school is the existing site of the St Patrick's Primary School at Backbrae Avenue. The site is part occupied and the new build will be positioned on the part which is currently playing fields.

The anticipated construction programme indicates that site works will commence in July 2006 with service commencent proposed for August 2007.
