Glengowan and St Mary's Primary Joint Campus Education 2010 Proposals

The Council's propsoals are for a new build primary joint campus sensitively designed to retain the identity and ethos of each school (Glengowan and St Mary's) but sharing some facilities..   The design capacity of Glengowan primary is 150 and St Mary's is 100.   In addition to the primary accommodation 30 Early Education class places will be provided to replace existing Glengowan nursery class.

The physical education facilities within the building and the on-site 7-a-side synthetic surface pitch will be available for community use.   The assembly ahll/gym, dining, general purpose and other community areas are also available for the community to use beyond school core times of operation.

The proposed site location of this new build project is the existing site occupied by Glengowan Primary School on Drumfin Avenue.

The anticipated construction programme indicates site works starting in November 2004 with full services commencement in January 2006.
