The Council proposes a new build replacement of Cambusnethan Primary school with a design capacity for 190 pupils. In addtion, accommodation will include Early Education classes of 30 places which will replace the existing Cambusnethan nursery centre.
The physical education facilities within the building and the on-site pitch (multi-games use floodlit synthetic surface) will be available for community use outwith school core times. The assebly hall/gym, dining and general purpose area will also be available to community organisations outwith school hours of operation.
The proposed site for the new primary is part unoccupied cleared site and part woodland in Branchal Road, Cambusnethan.

The anticipated construction programme indicates site works commencing May 2006 with full services commencement of July 2007.
