The Council's proposals are for a new build primary joint campus to include St Kevin's and Bargeddie Primary Schools which is sensitively designed to retain the identity and ethos of each school but with some shared facilities. The design capacity pf Bargeddie Primary is 160 and St Kevin's is 130. In addition to the primary education, 50 places for new Early Education classes will be provided.
The physical education facilities within the building and the on-site 7-a-side synthetic surface flood-lit pitch will be available for community use. The assembly hall/gym, dining/general purpose and other community areas will be available for community organisations to use outwith school core times. A community education school base will be accommodated within this joint campus.
The new school building proposed is on the existing site occupied by St Kevin's Primary School site on Langmuir Road.

The anticipated construction programme indicates site works starting in April 2006 with full service commencent anticipated for August 2007.
