This proposed new build project facility will accommodate a replacement for Airdrie Academy with a design capacity for secondary education of a projected 1120 pupil roll. The physical education facilities within the building and the on-site pitches will be available for community use. This includes one full size synthetic surface pitch (floodlit) and two full size grass pitches. Additionally, the community and social areas of the school will be available for letting both within and outwith normal school hours.
The proposed site for the new replacement school is the occupied existing Airdrie Academy site. Airdrie Academy is currently located towards the north of Airdrie in South Commonhead Avenue.

The indicative construction programme for site works has a commencement date of November 2004 and full works completion by October 2006.
