Glengowan and St Mary's Primary joint campus is the first of the Education 2010 PPP projects to complete on time.

8 June - The Education 2010 PPP project achieves Financial Close which means that the council has now entered into a contract with its private partner Transform Schools (North Lanarkshire) Limited to design, build, operate and maintain the 17 project proposals.
2 June - Bond Launch

Target for Commercial Close and further negotiations and approvals to meet Financial Close.

The Council enters into an Advanced Construction Works Agreement to start work on the project, securing a fixed price and programme for the project.

Preferred Bidder requires to undertake detailed design work to obtain planning consents.

Preferred Bidder is selected following evaluation of all bids.

The revised aspects of bidder's returned tenders will be evaluated.

Second stage of the procurement process begins with two invited bidders. This involves post-evaluation negotiations with each bidder and requires them to revise and confirm key aspects of their bid.

The European Investment Bank agree to support proposals to invest in Education 2010 PPP Project proposals.
May 2003
Education 2010 Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) documentation is issued to the pre-qualified bidders. These bidders will provide detailed proposals on the design, construction, financing and facilities management of the Education 2010 PPP Projects.

The Education Committee accepts the recommendations of a report on the Viewpark re-consultation and approves the current scope of the Education 2010 Project. Click on Project Proposals for further details.

Design workshops took place as part of the consultation process. The aim of the workshop was to ensure that the final brief met education and aesthetic aspirations whilst taking cognisance of personal values

The Education Committee receives a report on the formal consultation process undertaken by the department and agrees the scope of the Education 2010 project subject to a further consultation in the Viewpark area. It also approves the list of bidders and instructs the entry into the tender process under the restricted negotiated procedure of tendering. Details are available of the bidders who will provide detailed proposals for the design, construction, financing and facilities management of the Education 2010 PPP project.
September 2002
Education Committee selects the projects and options, where appropriate, which are to proceed to formal statutory consultation.
June 2002
The Scottish Executive announces a funding allocation of £150m to North Lanarkshire Council.
December 2001
Education Committee approves an Outline Business Case for Education 2010 to be submitted to the Scottish Executive. It lists projects to the value of £311m which include provision across all educational sectors and selected community facilities. In anticipation of a reduced allocation, higher priority projects are identified.
