Where can you get free advertising and access to funding and training for your service?

North Lanarkshire childcare information service

Why should you sign up?:

  • North Lanarkshire childcare information service is a telephone helpline and web-based service, which provides information and advice, on the whole range of childcare services available for children aged 0-16 throughout North Lanarkshire.
  • The information service is the only source of childcare information available for parents to access in the local area.
  • It is also the only source of information for North Lanarkshire Council and childcare partnership to inform childcare providers of any available funding or training.
  • Since the childcare information service came into existence in 1999 it has received over 6, 500 enquiries through the telephone helpline.
  • The information held is as up to date as possible.

    Childcare providers are encouraged to update their information as and when require i.e. for immediate vacancies that become available or additional places added to registrations.
    The service also carries out a quarterly update sending information out to providers to be checked and amended as required. Changes can be accepted by telephone, email and in writing.
  • The childcare information service also offers providers free advertising throughout North Lanarkshire with their information being accessed by enquirers who request information on a specific area.
