The direction of Mental Health Services in North Lanarkshire have been laid down in " A Strategy for Developing Mental Health Services 1999-2005 " The strategy follows guidance from the Scottish Executive's " A Framework for Mental Health Services " and focuses on the needs of those with mental health problems and their carers. Services are tailored to meet people's individual needs, based on a Community Care Assessment.
