Planning Guidance & Advice

The Scottish Executive has provided a series of Scottish Planning Policies which set out its policy on nationally important land use and other planning matters.

The relevant planning legislation for Scotland is also available, defining what constitutes development.

A series of Planning Advice Notes gives advice on how best to deal with matters such as rural housing design, improving small towns and town centres.
