North Lanarkshire Council has entered into two different forms of public private partnerships (PPP) with the private sector since 2000/2001.
Joint Venture Arrangements - Three joint venture companies with private sector organisations for the delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance services. A fourth, a manufacturing facility, is a private limited company with the council having a 10% shareholding in the business.
Private Finance for School buildings - PPP agreement with the private sector which will finance, design, build, maintain and operate new schools and community facilities as part of the Council's Education 2010 PPP project.
