  In April 2004 North Lanarkshire Council employed Faber Maunsell Consultants to develop the Council's first Walking & Cycling Strategy.
• Local Transport Strategy
  In 2001 the Council published the full Local Transport Strategy. This builds on last year's submission, and forms the basis for our transportation development over the next three years (2000-2003).
• Roads Winter Maintenance Policy & Procedures
  North Lanarkshire Council has a statutory obligation to take such steps as it considers reasonable to prevent snow and ice endangering the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles over their public roads which by definition includes carriageways, footways and footpaths.
