You can report a road, street lighting or traffic signal fault within the Council area. This covers a 1500km road network, including 400 bridges, 55,000 street lighting units, 4400 illuminated bollards, 110 sets of traffic signals and extensive footway and footpath networks.

Outwith normal working hours, the telephone service is provided by an answering machine where callers can leave the details of the defect and their details, again allow a follow up on the service. You can, of course, report online 24 hours of the day.
The online forms and telephone number are available 24 hours a day, but are not emergency services. Should you have a genuine emergency, then you should contact your local Police office where a decision on the seriousness of the enquiry will result in appropriate action being taken.
